WANA (July 24) – Mehdi Rashidi Jahan, the head of Iran’s student science teams, announced that Iranian student inventors have won two gold medals and a special award at the 2024 Global Invention and Innovation Olympiad in South Korea.

 

Rashidi Jahan highlighted that the Olympiad took place on July 23 and 24, featuring 634 teams from 25 countries.

 

He noted that Iranian students excelled by winning two gold medals and a special award. The Olympiad, held in 11 categories, saw 156 teams competing in person while the rest participated remotely in the 13th edition of the event.

 

The head of Iran’s student science teams stated that this morning, the Iranian team comprising Amir Mohammad Kazemian and Armin Touhid Asl won a gold medal in Mechatronics. Another team, consisting of Arian Askari and Arshan Hajmali, secured a gold medal and a special award in Biomedical Engineering.
